About Krabi town
Krabi is a pretty amazing place, the limestone cliffs in the distance at each of the beaches tend to be pretty unique to the area and a staple of the place that can't really be seen elsewhere in the world, at least any of the places I have been. The best part about this place as opposed to other places in Thailand is the lack of hassle in the area. Especially in Krabitown, there is a really good chance that you can walk around and not be chased constantly to buy something. That is part of the reason why I ended up here in the first place and I think most people would agree that being pursued constantly is pretty annoying. We don't really have that in Krabi to the level as in other parts of Thailand.
WHY KRABITOWN? Why not the beach? Good and fair question. The beach is much more expensive than the town in every respect. Food, drinks, taxis, lodging, everything costs more at the beach than in the town (i suppose that it pretty obvious) and it is really easy to get to any beach area from the town cheaply and fast. Also, we are closer to the jungle things that are pretty amazing as well. The town is also a real Thai city with markets and festivals that definitely can't be found at a tourist beach. I think that a majority of backpackers would actually prefer to stay in the town but i want to make it very clear that we are located in the town, not at the beach. Just to stick with our honesty motto. Let me know at krabidream@gmail.com if you have any questions... i am happy to answer them. Oh, and there are more photos of the area in the "Tour" section of the website. You don't have to go on a tour to look at the pics!
